Here is a short extract from ‘Long Walk to Freedom and Peace’ that craig is currently writing (or perhaps “it’s writing itself”)…
I don’t know how the story will end…
But I do know how it all began…

For Lynda and Sharon in “Joey’s”, and Steve, Glenda, Paula , Dylan and Graham in the beautiful mother city of Cape Town. Also to dearest mom and dad. Thanks for all the support, encouragement and most of all, love.

THE DREAM
It was a cold dreary mid-winter evening in 1975, a year before the Soweto riots that started a great upheaval in the “beloved” country.

Rising anti-Semitism must be stamped out: Leighton Smith

February 9, 2019

I (We) Must Not Hate!

In 2005, the United Nations voted to establish an annual Holocaust Day of Remembrance. That day is January 27, the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, by the Red Army in 1945.

Last year on my radio programme, I took a call from a man called Bob. He rang, as a retired lawyer, with some legal advice over a matter being discussed. When I dug deeper, he revealed that both he and his wife were Holocaust survivors. Consequently, I invited him into the studio the next week… his story was riveting. Through that meeting, I participated with Bob and Freda in this year’s Holocaust Remembrance Day.

I sat and watched as Chloe craigs companion gets extremely close , almost nose to nose with my cat smudge .
So I had to document it people would nott believe me with out proof
My first thought was here we go
Blood will flow between this cat and dog and
I won’t here the end of it
I knew Chloe wanted to be friends but my 17 year old cat just wanted to sleep the day away
I saw the look in his eyes as if to say
Your to close for my liking give me some space…..
But Smudge never raised a paw to Chloe
I heard a slight growl.
Is this how it was when the animals in heaven existed
They just got on , peace and quiet
L i ons with lambs resting together
No killiing each other over small problems , that become like mountains…
